Welcome to School. Please Check Your Constitutional Rights at the Door

Constitutional Connection:

Amendment IV "Interdiction of unreasonable searches and seizures; a search warrant is required to search a persons or property."

Explaination of Connections:
All students in school have the right to not be searched for things like drugs at school.  At a school district in Lockney, Texas, the students are required to be tested for drugs.  If you refuse to take the test, you get an automatic 3-day in-school suspension.  Even though students may need a drug test for sports, forcing all the students in the whole district is pushing the actual limits Supreme Court said, which was that athletes were needed to have a drug test, in some situations.
This article clearly demonstrates Amendment IV of the United States Constitution.  In high school, college, and professional sports leagues, you are most likely required to have a drug test.  For all students in a whole school district to have a drug test is absurd.  This violates the Fourth Amendment, which protects your rights to an unlawful search of yourself and your property without a warrant.  Locker searches were also included with the drug tests, which is invasion of property.
I think that this rule is outrageous and useless.  If the student is doing drugs, that is their personal problem and not the school to deal too much with.  That doesn't always mean that the student will bring the drugs too school and deal them.  I think this school district should be sued for violation of the Fourth Amendment.  Hopefully, this idea won't spread to other school districts.

Constitutional Connection:

Amendment X, "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

Explaination of Connection:

Federalist, James Madison, brought up this law to states will not have an uprising and become sovereign.  The state and federal government are suppose to work hand in hand, and not let states take over.  Some state sovereignty bills have been passed in several states, like Missouri and Hawaii.  Those bills have been on things like abortion or native tribal rights.   Many politicians think that the federal government has had too much power lately so they are trying to tip the scale back where it is suppose to be. This article clearly demonstrates Amendment V of the United States Constitution.

Judge rules Chicago principle removed from Julian high School should be re-installed (Amendement V)

Constitutional Connection:

Amendment V, "Details the concepts of indictments, due process, self-incrimination, double jeopardy, rules for eminent domain"

Explaination of Connection:

The government is suppose to give you due process in all trials.  In this case, a principle was dismissed from being a principle at Julian high School for not focusing on the education of the children and maintaining a safe learning environment.  This year, she has been admitted to go back to her school because Ron Huberman soon found out that she was not granted due process before  she was dismissed from being principle at Julian High school.
This article clearly demonstrates Amendment V of the United States Constitution.  All government trials in the US are suppose to allow all people due process.  This is the fairness of law and legal proceedings.  The Constitution  states that the "basic rights of land, life, and liberty" cannot be taken away by the government.
I believe that it was very wrong to fire her from her position as a principle for a year without giving her the basic rights.  She has been out of work for a whole year and that is very unfair.
