Constitutional Connection:
Amendment X, "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
Explaination of Connection:
Federalist, James Madison, brought up this law to states will not have an uprising and become sovereign. The state and federal government are suppose to work hand in hand, and not let states take over. Some state sovereignty bills have been passed in several states, like Missouri and Hawaii. Those bills have been on things like abortion or native tribal rights. Many politicians think that the federal government has had too much power lately so they are trying to tip the scale back where it is suppose to be. This article clearly demonstrates Amendment V of the United States Constitution.
